A state of living: creatively, consciously, unapologetically
Welcome to Floware
We are a small business that uses clay as medium to put form to thoughts, emotions and experiences. Each piece that is created has gone through an individual process of being moulded, painted and fired in high temperatures- a metaphor for our lives as humans.
Our pieces are functional, handmade and one of a kind. They are more than just ceramics that you can enjoy in your everyday life, they are pieces of art and ultimately an extension of a human heart.
We believe in the power of art and the healing that it can bring. Our workshops are about more than just making ceramics, it's a inward journey.

Our Story
Floware was birthed in 2021 after my [then boyfriend] came to visit me in South Africa from the Netherlands. As we were traveling through the country we noticed that the tableware in restaurants were so extremely unique and out of the ordinary. We started to dream about the possibility of having a creative space of our own where we would create one-of-a-kind dinnerware for homes and restaurants. Since then we're residing in the Netherlands and our dream has come into existence, evolving into not only a 'ceramics shop' but a studio and a safe space for individuals to come and explore their creativity.

At our core
We believe that art is an extremely powerful and therapeutic tool for our mental well-being. When our hands make something, create something, it is as if our whirring minds can finally pause, and take a long awaited -breath-. At Floware it is our aim to inspire others to allow themselves to explore, discover and create, regardless of how the final product might look. Art is never about the end result but always about the journey that you get to embark on. If you allow it, it will unravel things that you did not know existed and it will change you for the better.

This glaze kiln unload is probably one of my favourite ones from the past 2.5 years. When I opened, I could literally cry from excitement (yes, I had to open it before filming because you never know). It’s very diffcult to explain the joy that making your own art/ creations brings. There are so so many fails that come before the successes (which we rarely show as artists) but when you finally succeed, it just makes the joy so much deeper.
What do you think, which pieces do you like most? And is it just me or does that vase just bring you so much happiness too? 🍓✨🥹
